Kids at the Lego TableAnd we’re live! Cars are starting to pull into the parking lot here at IMS, people are lining up at the registration desks, and our makers are ready to show off their handiwork and engage everyone in some awesome hands on activities!

On your way over? We’ve got directions here, including instructions on where to park.

Already here? Check out our Maker Faire Map & Guide to see a full list of participants and where they are at the Faire.

Be sure to stop by the Café to get some Irving Farm coffee or see Better Baking by Beth in the Gym to fuel you for an action-packed day!

And don’t miss our keynote address by multi-disciplinary artist Charles Lindsay, the Director of SETI’s Artist-in-Residence program, at 10:30 am in the IMS Auditorium—or the command performance at 12:30 pm outside the Student Center by Ravenbane’s FireCraft!

After that, grab some lunch from When Pigs Fly BBQ or the hot dog cart—if you are looking for some lighter fare, including vegan and gluten free options, check out the wraps for sale in the Café.

Learning to Use a Raspberry PiBe sure to check out all our varied workshops, from the Take Apart space, to decorative paper-making and soldering, to jewelry-making, flower-arranging, and even rocket launching! Or pick up something from one of our vendors, whether its a friendly-looking robot from Doo-Rite Robots, a new t-shirt from Kool Nerd, or one of Thomas Parker’s amazing Space Drums!

By then, you’ll be ready to sit down for a spell, so swing on back to the Café to join the conversation with Northwest Connect about bringing broadband Internet service to our area, or chat with one of the small business mentors from SCORE Northwest Connecticut.

So, we’ve got a full day in the works for you (and your family, if you’re bringing them along), we hope you enjoy the Maker Faire show!
