We’re in the final push now to get everything ready for our Mini Maker Faire tomorrow! The energy that is building among our volunteer crew and our makers as we prepare for our event is really amazing to see.

Earlier today, I ran into one of the students in the Hotchkiss School Innovation Club riding the electric bike they just finished up last night. It was quite a sight to see him engage the motor and start zipping around campus! Then I packed up my car with signs, t-shirts, and other supplies for the hands-on workshops we are offering.

Over at Indian Mountain School, I met up with my co-organizers and a couple of student volunteers and began setting up tables and getting the spaces in the IMS Student Center ready for tomorrow. We also did our walk-through with the Fire Inspector, and made sure various details are in place for the big day.Volunteer T-Shirt

The student volunteers from IMS were full of enthusiasm: they remembered how much fun they had at the Maker Faire last year and were eager to make sure this year’s event is an even bigger success.

They were also really excited to get their hands on our special volunteer t-shirts, custom engineered for maximum visibility! If you’re at the Faire tomorrow and you see someone in a shirt like this, you can be sure that they are ready to help you find your way around or answer any questions you may have. We will have other shirts for sale, too: $12 each, or $10 for children’s sizes.

We look forward to seeing you there!
