As written on their website: “The vision of the Sharon Historical Society and Museum is to maximize the power of personal and community stories and shared history to enrich and impact lives” (Sharon Historical Society and Museum, 2019).

Additionally, The Sharon Historical Society and Museum is…

  • An inclusive collaborator that inspires community involvement in all aspects of its work.
  • A caring steward of historical collections that engages broad audiences with authentic objects and the stories that they tell.
  • A center for community life and learning that fuels civic pride and citizenship.
  • Committed to expanding public access to information through the creative use of technology

When visiting the historical society and museum, feel free to see the art of Tom Savrda, which runs to the middle of May. Or join the Hillside Cemetery Tour: Victims of Smallpox and other Epidemics on March 31st, which coincides with their exhibit on Sharon Cures: Centuries of Medicine in One Small Town.

We can’t wait to see how our makers will interact with the Sharon Historical Society and Museum on Sunday, April 7th!

Don’t forget to register for the Maker Faire! Just click the big blue button at the top of the page.
